Get ready to kick off the New Year with the First Day 5K, taking place on January 1, 2026, in the vibrant town of Whitinsville, Worcester! This exciting race features a USATF certified fast and flat 5K course, perfect for runners of all levels. With a capped field of just 300 participants, be sure to sign up early to secure your spot in this exhilarating event. The race begins with a thrilling downhill start on Main St, just west of the Whitin Community Center, and takes you through the scenic Memorial Square onto Linwood Ave. Runners will enjoy a quick detour through the Northbridge High School parking lot before making a turnaround at the Linwood Mill. After an invigorating run, participants will sprint back to the finish line at Memorial Square. Registration includes a custom hat for the first 225 sign-ups, delicious post-race pizza, refreshing hot chocolate, and a frosty beer at The Gray Barn (ID required).
